Educator Performer Director

About Colleen

I am a musical theatre performer, director, fight director, and theatre educator from Los Angeles, CA. I graduated from The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory at Southeast Missouri State University with my BFA in Musical Theatre in 2024 and I will be completing my MA in Educational Theatre at NYU in May 2026. Since starting college in 2017, I have had the privilege of directing many student works and was given the honor of directing for my school’s season at El Camino College. In Spring 2024, I was also given the amazing opportunity to fight direct my first musical, Yeast Nation.
In both my directing and acting, I am passionate about telling stories that give a voice to the voiceless and that deal with complex issues that have no correct solutions. I also believe in the beauty of all stories and the right for every voice to be heard. As a teacher, I hope to create a learning environment where students feel free to explore and where they are not afraid to fail boldly. I also hope to not only guide them to be the best artists they can be but also to become the best versions of themselves. Life imitates art, and I believe to be a true artist is to have examined oneself and to bring that truth into your work. Lastly, I believe in the power of education to inspire and the magic that can only be found onstage. I am excited to embark on this next chapter of my academic journey and to share the joy of musical theatre with those around me.
