I am excited to be considered for the High School Theatre Teacher position. With a background grounded in conservatory-level training and a deep commitment to fostering resilient, expressive young artists, I am eager to contribute to your school community. I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre with honors from Southeast Missouri State University, am pursuing my MA in Educational Theatre at NYU, and am certified in multiple stage combat disciplines through Dueling Arts International. These experiences have shaped a teaching philosophy centered on creative risk-taking, collaboration, and the positive potential of failure.

As a theatre educator, I focus on directing, musical theatre, and stage combat, with an emphasis on safe, dynamic physical storytelling. I believe that students thrive when they are encouraged to experiment, take bold artistic risks, and learn from the unexpected. In my classroom, failure is not a setback but a catalyst for discovery, one that builds empathy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the artistic process. I strive to create inclusive, process-driven learning environments where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to explore their authentic voices.

Although I am in the early stages of my career, I bring dedication, rigor, and genuine passion to my work with students. I am eager to help young performers develop strong technique, collaborative ensemble skills, and the resilience needed both onstage and beyond. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my training, experience, and student-centered approach can contribute to a dynamic and engaging theatre program at your school.
